Perry Will
Perry Will brings more than four decades of experience in wildlife management, rural
policy, and natural resource issues across the West, with a practical understanding of
how public decisions affect local communities.
Perry served in both the Colorado State Senate and the Colorado House of
Representatives, representing Western Colorado communities. He currently serves
as a Garfield County Commissioner, where his work includes land use, infrastructure,
natural resource development, energy operations and rural economic growth.
Prior to serving in the legislature, Perry worked for 43 years with Colorado Parks and
Wildlife as a district wildlife manager and game warden. This field experience gives
him firsthand perspective managing the intersection of land use, wildlife, agriculture,
recreation, and rural communities.
During his time in the office, he worked extensively on issues involving natural
resources, water, agriculture, energy, and rural economic development. He also served on
the legislature’s Wildfire Matters Review Committee, contributing to policy discussions
surrounding wildfire mitigation, land management, and community resilience.
At Continental Divide Strategies, Perry provides strategic perspective on agriculture,
wildlife, rural policy, stakeholder coordination and natural resource issues. He is known
for his practical, collaborative approach and his ability to navigate complex issues
involving local communities, public lands, resource development, and government oversight,
maintaining strong relationships throughout rural communities across the western United States.
